Parent Information Pack
Helping your child go from using technology to building it
ALGOLLAM trains secondary school students in software engineering and AI through live, mentor-led sessions and real team projects. This pack explains how it works and how you can follow your child's progress.
Who it’s for
Secondary school students, typically SSS 1 to SSS 3 in Nigeria or Years 10 to 13 in the UK, with equivalent ages welcome from anywhere in the world. No coding experience is needed.

How sessions run
- Live online classes after school hours, led by experienced mentors.
- Students join each session from their ALGOLLAM dashboard with one click; attendance is recorded automatically.
- Recordings, course videos, assignments and Q&A are all on the platform for catch-up and practice.
- Students work in small teams on real projects and present what they build.
Following your child’s progress
Parents get their own free account and a read-only view of their child's learning:
- Sign up at algollam.com and choose Parent / Guardian.
- Ask your child for their Enrolment ID. They’ll find it in Settings on their dashboard.
- Enter the ID on your Parent dashboard to link your accounts. Your child is notified when a parent links.
You’ll see their course progress, assignments, points and badges.
Motivation and recognition
Students earn points for completing lessons, attending live sessions and submitting work, unlock badges, and move up through ranks: Beginner, Explorer, Innovator and Pioneer. Completed courses and programmes earn a certificate with a verification link that can be shared on LinkedIn or with schools.
Safety and privacy
- We collect only what we need to run the programme, and never sell personal data.
- Other students see your child by first name and last initial only.
- Mentors are invited by ALGOLLAM; parents can follow progress at any time.
Frequently asked questions
- Does my child need any experience?
- No. We start from zero. Curiosity and commitment matter far more than prior technical knowledge.
- When do sessions happen?
- Live sessions run online after school hours, so students never have to choose between ALGOLLAM and schoolwork. Recordings are available for catch-up.
- What equipment is needed?
- A laptop or desktop computer with a stable internet connection. A phone works for listening, but coding needs a computer.
- Is it only for students in Nigeria or the UK?
- No. Everything is online, and we welcome secondary school students from anywhere in the world.
- What does it cost?
- Many current programmes, such as THE SHIFT (Teens Expression), are free. If a programme has a fee, it is shared clearly before you enrol.
How to enrol
